Northern Foods frozen pizza brand, Goodfella’s, is unveiling an innovative new range of pizzas, aimed at Iceland’s core shoppers. The two new ranges will be available from the beginning of September and aim to add £3.4M worth of incremental sales to the category (at RSP).
Kevan Mallinder, Marketing Director for Goodfella’s, says: “We’ve identified a clear opportunity for growth and have created two new and exclusive ranges to appeal to Iceland’s core family audience. The new ranges deliver an exciting proposition for consumers, offering real value for money at a time when people are tightening their belts.”
The two new ranges have a family focus and include Goodfella’s Deeply Delicious Minis and Goodfella’s Friday Fever Square family pack, which includes two large, square Friday Fever pizzas plus a pizza garlic bread.
Goodfella’s Deeply Delicious Minis are made from the same quality ingredients that consumers have come to expect from the Goodfella’s Deeply Delicious range, but will be sold in an individual, miniature format. They are expected to shake up the kids and snacking category, which is in need of new and exciting NPD, and will help drive just under £2m in incremental sales.
Containing 50% less fat and 25% less salt than competitor pizzas, Goodfella’s Deeply Delicious Minis are available in three child friendly flavours, and will appeal to mums who are looking for pizzas that their kids will love, and which will be just the right portion size.
Goodfella’s Friday Fever Square to Share Family Pack is a new and exciting twist on the popular Friday Fever pizza range. Made using a 11.5” square-shaped base, it is the perfect pizza for families to share and has been inspired by popular take-away pizzas. It is expected to drive incremental sales of £1.6m.
